Hi @PaulKasongo ,

Congratulations on launching a store and on bringing visitors all the way up to checkout. That is a great start!

I can see from the get-go that your store is missing plenty of essentials to secure trust in anyone visiting your store. There are loads of stores out there, so you need to put your best foot forward from the moment anyone encounters your brand. Luckily we have a fantastic Buyer Trust 101 community forum post that ought to help make your site more trustworthy.

You mentioned that you’re posting ads on Instagram and Facebook, but who are you targeting with your ads and what are you saying to them?

Remember that you can pour plenty of money into your social media ads but if you do not have a clear message, a clear brand, and a clear idea of who your audience is, you are simply scatter-shooting your money everywhere and not getting the right people to read it.

So first of all, you need to be clear on what your brand is and what it stands for. Customers will only buy from your store if they also buy into what your store stands for. Right now your site doesn’t tell me any of that, and if you’re not sure about this, then you need to create a mission statement. Check out our 9 Best Mission Statements with Examples.

Once you know what your store’s purpose is, you need to communicate it clearly and passionately. Right now, your store does not do that. For starters, your logo is not legible, and I can barely see the text in the slider:

So you need to think about the User Experience Design of your store. Luckily we have plenty of articles on the subject of UX Design for you to check out. For example, you need have a think about your color scheme and how the colors capture what your brand is about.

And who is your user? Do you know which people are going to be interested in your product and why? If not, you absolutely must create a customer profile to know who you’re addressing your content to.

These are just some basic fundamentals to get you started. For the sake of advising you on the best route to success, I’d recommend taking your store offline, working hard on it to implement this crucial feedback, and returning with a bang once you’ve revamped your store.

Let me know if you have any questions!
