Permanent search bar in header - Dawn Template

Hi

Im looking to add a permanent search bar to my header. Ideally halfway located between my logo and the icons to the right. I’ve tried to add some code myself to relative success but I couldn’t position it right. If anyone can help i’d be appreciative.
