Hey everyone,
I am using local shipping as my delivery option. I also want to collect customer phone number in order to send them delivery updates.
The issue is, in the checkout page, under the local delivery option, there is a phone number field that I can not get rid of ( highlighted in red rectangle), as I already ask for the phone number in the delivery information field. The field under local delivery is also useless as shopify records that information under " delivery instructions" rather than customer phone number. Is there any way to get rid of it?

You won’t able to remove the phone number field under Local Delivery unless you are a shopify Plus customer. if you are a plus customer, shopify allow you to customize the checkout fields.
if you are not a plus customer, you have option make the phone number as Optional.
