Photo Ratio For Product Images?

Hi everybody,

I’d appreciate your thoughts on this.

What is the optimal picture ratio to use when uploading product images to my store?

I started using photos with a 3x4 ratio, which I think looks excellent. But what is the optimal ratio to use so that other platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Google, Etsy) and ads display photos full screen and in the best possible way?

1:1 ratio?

What is the 2x3 ratio?

What is the 3x4 ratio?

I’d want to make a choice on this before I begin editing a slew of product mockups.

For e-commerce platforms like Shopify and Google Shopping, it’s recommended to use a ratio that closely matches the aspect ratio of the product being sold. So, the 3x4 ratio may work well for certain products, while the 2x3 ratio may work well for others.
