We’ve been using Shopify now for a few years just for the POS but have only recently started our online store. Currently we have a handful of items for sale on our shop online that can ship. There are others on there but they are local pickup only.
Up until recently Shopify had the option on the product page to check a box that said “physical product” AND “product requires shipping” plus the option to then add the weight. Now I’m only seeing the “product requires shipping” and then the weight option comes up.
This has caused a big problem for us as we need the option to have a physical product listed so that the only option at checkout is pickup in store otherwise the checkout just shows the option for payment but does not indicate to the customer that they need to pickup, where, and how long the time will be. We can’t only use “require shipping” because we have products such as furniture and art that cannot be shipped in a way we feel comfortable.
Is this a new change or am I missing something?
