You probably don’t need an app at all. Shopify has local pickup and local delivery built in for free, both set up per location under Settings, Shipping and delivery. Local delivery you can leave running year round with your radius or postcodes and any minimum order, and local pickup is a simple toggle on that location, so you switch it on for your holiday pickups and switch it off again after, which is exactly the on and off control you’re describing. Takes about ten seconds each time.
The built-in settings cover this, with one detail to watch: if you have more than one fulfillment location, local pickup must be turned off at each location where you do not want it offered. You can leave local delivery active year round and re-enable pickup only for the locations participating in your holiday schedule.
The built-in pickup has no calendar. Customers cannot choose a pickup date or time slot, and Shopify will not switch pickup on by itself on your holiday dates. You flip the toggle each time.

Hi there @SherriR
Shopify’s local delivery and local pickup options are separate, so you can have local delivery enabled year-round and disable local pickup when it’s not needed. During the holiday season for pickups, go to Settings > Shipping and delivery, select the location that you want to modify, and then turn local pickup on or off. In case you require scheduled actvation or more flexible pick-up periods, check if a Shopify App Store solution is available and supports such type of pick-up scheduling and date based availability.
