I am testing my new (in development) shopify store.
I placed a test order and chose local pick up as the delivery option.
Once the order was completed, shopify sent the notification email, but it sent a “Shipment is on the way” email, and not the one related to Local pickup?
I notice in the settings that the “Ready for pickup” template says “Sent to the customer manually through Point of Sale or admin” - so will this not be sent when my external system updates shopify to show the order is fulfilled?
Do I need to modify the “Shipping Confirmation” template to check for the shipping option selected being pickup, and tailor that template accordingly?
A little confused as to what needs doing to make this work.
Order that are getting shipped should be sent the shipping notification email.
Orders that are being picked up should be sent the ready for collection email.
