My Pins on Pinterest are displaying the original cost price of my items before markup.
So when people click on a pin, they see a much lower price. Once they click the pin and are directed to my website, they are seeing my marked up pricing.
I would like my pins on Pinterest to be displaying the pricing I have on my website.
I already have Pinterest connected to my Shopify through the sales channel and it is supposedly pulling the info from my website. I can’t figure out how to edit anything that would make the correct change I am needing.
Now I don’t know about stopping prices from being set to Pinterest, but I was able to figure out a solution for having Pinterest display the correct pricing:
You need to make sure that your
“Price” and “Compare at Price” are the same.
Now, I had a bulk editor app and did this but it only fixed the pricing on Pinterest for a minute and then reverted back to the original pricing (might work for others though). So (now this was a pain) I had to go back into every product listing, change something, and save the product. Even though the pricing was correct on my products due to the bulk editor, for some reason Pinterest needed the extra step on each individual product.
My issue is a little different in that we use style color and size.
Obviously se may have different pricing according to configuration. we end
up wrong prices on configurations in Pinterest so either Shopify in is
passing the wrong info across in the interface or something is happening in
Pinterest. It appears to happen primarily if another option is added after
the initial load some of the existing options end up with new options price.
My next try will basically along your lines where I will update something in
each style and see if it resolves problem.
