Pinterest Verified Merchant suddenly not working

I’ve been a Verified Merchant on Pinterest and successfully set it up using the Pinterest app here on Shopify. Suddenly I have a notification on my Pinterest account that says “To stay in the Verified Merchant Program, you have 30 days from April 28, 2023 to fix outstanding issues.” I’m not sure when this happened or why. It may be because I switched to the Shapes theme earlier this year.

Here is what my Conversion Health says:

I tried to unlink and relink the Shopify/Pinterest integration here on Shopify, but it doesn’t seem to have done anything, at least not yet.

I have absolutely no idea how to solve these issues, but I’d like to keep my Verified Merchant status. Any help would be appreciated.

I am also getting the same emails but do not understand how to fix this issue. Hopefully someone will chime in…

I tried to go through Shopify support and they told me there wasn’t anything they could do on their end. I had to go through Pinterest support. They were very quick to get back to me though, and the problem has been resolved by them.

I’ve had this twice now and both times, a successful cart checkout seemed to work the magic in having the Verified Merchant show as OK again in the Pinterest dashboard. The first time, I had an order from a customer, the second time, I did an order myself (always good to test it now and then anyway) and after allowing a couple of days for Pinterest to refresh its data etc., no issue. Maybe it was a fluke but you might want to try … All the best. :slightly_smiling_face: It’s very frustrating when it happens.
