Pipeline Theme - change colour of add to cart button

Hi!

Example URL: https://www.thevoyagehome.com.au/collections/turkey-drop-one/products/vintage-turkish-pot-small-2

Does anyone know how to change the colour of the add to cart button? Would like it filled in with colours reversed as it’s very hard to see!

Couldn’t work out how to do it in theme settings.

Thanks

Rachel

Hi @thevoyagehome

I hope you are doing good and welcome to the Shopify Community!
I am San from MS Web Designer.

Please add this css in your bottom of the theme.css file:
.btn–add-to-cart {color: #000 !important;}

Note: You can change the color yourself anytime just replace the color code.

Regards,

San

Hello @thevoyagehome

You can try this code: it will be helpful to you

Go to the Online Store->Theme->Edit code->Assets->theme.css>Add this code at the bottom.

[class*=btn].uppercase {
    background: #3c0def !important;
}

Hi, @thevoyagehome !

For this change, I would recommend contacting the developers of the Pipeline theme directly as they know their theme code best.

I had a look and I found a link to their support centre for you here.

Since you shared your store link, I had a chance to browse your site and I have to say that it’s really impressive!

You have really done a great job in emphasising the uniqueness of those products by adding the background information such as Our story.

I am curious to know if you’re currently advertising - have you set up any ads campaigns before? In case you haven’t already, you can check out the integrations that we have with Google Ads and Facebook (Meta) Ads that will allow you to create and run campaigns straight from your Shopify admin. Below, I have courses on both:

Your products would really stand out if they came up as an ad on somebody’s Facebook feed, and I think this would be an interesting step for you to explore.

@thevoyagehome add below css into theme.css file

button.btn--outline.btn--full.btn--primary.uppercase.btn--add-to-cart {
    background: black;
    color: white;
}

Hi Lana

Thanks for your response, reaching out to theme support was my next step but was just hoping to have a quick answer here! Unfortunately neither response worked in this case.

Thank you for the feedback on our store. We are seeing a good amount of traffic but are not converting as we would like which is why we’re assessing things like placement/colour of add to cart buttons and trying to improve the overall customer journey.

I have the link for how to optimise the website for conversions which I will work through today. Is there anything else specific you could suggest for us in the meantime?

Thank you so much!

Rachel

I see - with some customizations, the developers may deem that it is out of the scope of their support, but it is still always worth it to double check.

I would also suggest you look into this with a Shopify Expert from their listings here. An expert is a freelancer who charges their rates based on the work that they do, but you can find someone who is able to help out with any custom code and changes that your store may need.

Seeing the traffic is a really good sign, and the tricky part is exactly that - how to turn this into conversions.

Now, it is time for you to consider how you’re receiving this traffic, and what can you do to further encourage these potential customers to checkout.

Many stores offer a discount for first time buyers, which serves as an additional reason to go through with the purchase of a product that they like. Have you create any discounts before? If not, I have the full guide on how to do this for you here.

Another factor to consider here is customer trust. As a new store, it is important to start thinking about this early and present yourself as a store that customers feel they can safely shop in.

Though you have already nailed some of these points on your store yourself, I have an article for you here on 9 Ways to Build Customer Trust when you Have 0 Sales.

Again, you’re already ahead of the game yourself as your store does make sales, but this is a good list of tips and things to consider.
