Please Give Me Some Honest Feedback on My Store

So I feel like my surfboard accessories store is ready for me to start driving traffic to it. I’ll be using google ads, running giveaways on instagram, sponsoring a team for in-person and social promotion, and launching an affiliate program. Before I launch, I just wanted to get some unbiased feedback. One of my concerns is that I only have 4 products. I plan to have many more eventually, but I wanted to test with 4 before committing any more money. Given the amount of size/style variations, I could break them up into 7 products. I only condensed them into 4 to optimize for Amazon, which I’ve pivoted away from for now. I’d just rather not break them up unless it would increase conversion dramatically, because I would have to redo most of the infographics. In addition to the 4 vs 7 products, I’d love to hear any other feedback. This is the first store I’ve built and I know I have much to learn. Thanks!

  1. Add featured products on the home page with add to cart button to increase average order value.

2.Featured Products / all Title should be Optimized and Seo Friendly

3.Add a featured collection on your home page.

4.Add sticky add to cart button on home page collection features.
6. Add a Lead magnet section on Home Page
7.If Possible, add Instagram feed on the homepage in a more attractive way to attract customer attention.

8.Add customer reviews on the home page to gain the trust of the customer.

9.Highlight the USP of your product or service.

  • Add Product Review on Collection Pages.

  • Add Sticky add to Cart and Buy now Button for quick checkout.

  • Add Trust Badges below add to cart or Buy now Button.

  • Add Product Badges like New, 10% Off, You Save 20$ or Free Shipping.

SPEED Optimization:

1.Your site might be in need of Optimization too. As per Google Insights, your site score is 59 which means that attention is required here. A well-optimized site rates 70+ for mobile version, this affects your SEO ranking and decides how many customers/visitors view or find your website as 80% visitors use mobile to place the order. This is especially important if you don’t want to invest in advertisements.

Speed optimization is required to increase sales and traffic. Also, if your speed is not good, your website ranking will definitely fall.

Starting with 4 products is fine for testing. Focus on your marketing efforts and collect customer feedback. If breaking them into 7 doesn’t significantly increase conversions, stick with 4 to save time. Ensure your website is user-friendly, with clear product information and attractive visuals. Optimize for conversion and gather data from your campaigns to inform future product expansion. Good luck!

  • Focus on designing a layout that’s easy to navigate (text alignment).

  • Shop by category: You can add “Shop by Category” or “Browse All Collections”. It provides a clear structure for browsing products and is familiar to many online shoppers with a better user experience
  1. Footer section:
  • This section must be properly designed. It offers visitors easy access to a few pages, such as Blogs, policies, FAQs, and social media links, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube.
  • Align it correctly and make sections in the correct size(width).
  1. Cart Drawer: For a shopping experience, you should try the iCart Cart Drawer Cart Upsell app. This app offers a code in your cart just before the customer pays for the order. Customers can also add the coupon code to the cart instead of adding it on the checkout page.

I can see that you have an About Us page already but adding a separate section on your homepage would help visitors easy to read without having to navigate to another page. It would improve the user experience in general

1.2 Key USPs section with key icons

Your current homepage lacks key information about products. It may increase the bouncing rate as users don’t find important content they need. Helpful, easy-to-see benefits icons quickly introduce your products’ unique selling points, giving a reason to purchase from you instead of the competition.

Testimonials are an important touch point especially with first time visitors. I understand your store is new but you still should consider adding a section on your homepage to showcase it. The first product showcase on your homepage is a highly important touch point as it would decide whether or not visitors have interest in your products and make a purchase. I recommend you should improve the current showcase:

  • Add the See more / Explore more button to allow shoppers to view additional products. This would help reduce bounce rate as they can continue to explore other options to their liking, so increase shoppers’ engagement & allow more chances of getting sales.
  • Make the price highly visible with prominent styling as shoppers often visit e-commerce websites with the primary intent of finding and comparing prices.
  • Add secondary hover on image: Instead of a single static image, it would be better to show more how your products are used in real life or unique details/patterns of them, which can increase the likelihood of making a purchase.

A great way to enhance store visuals & get more chances to increase sales is to create shoppable Instagram feeds on your site.
