I have designed a site for a customer using Dawn Theme and having a problem with the cart. Customers cannot add more than one of the same item. The variants were not working so I had to create multiple products with different sizes in order for customers to even select the correct size & color they wanted. Can someone please help? Customers need to be able to purchase two, three, or four of one item if want to.

Any help anyone is able to provide will be wonderful.

This may sound silly, but have you checked the available quantities for each variant? Variants act as separate products with separate inventories. They’re just set up that way for easy grouping.
If you’d like me to look into this further (research/ actually look at your store with permission) , please let me know.
The variants had plenty of available quantities. However, if a customer selected a MEDIUM RED the cart would have a LARGE RED. No matter what the variants were not working. So, I came up with a workaround. The variants right now are not really my issue. The issue is customers not being able to add more than one item.
