Please help me I’m a hot mess!

First I am so sorry for the multiple posts and then forgetting to post the URL. I am struggling with navigating this site. I sell jewelry I make and supplies to make jewelry. I tried to post the URL in a reply but it wouldn’t let me hence another post. I am really sorry.

G’Day @karmaskornerjewelry ,

Take a few deep breaths, you’ll be alright. Your profile is hidden, so I’m unable to see your previous posts. I’ll send you a message and you can let me know what the problem is there.

Unless you want to post it here too.

How do I unhide my profile?

I’m quite new here myself and I’m not entirely sure how the profiles work. I’m looking under preferences for my profile and I can’t seem to find anything which indicates that my profile isn’t hidden. Strange.

Maybe I can search for your posts, let’s see how that goes.

Is Moeed helping you?

It seems like you’ve published and weren’t yet ready. Have a look at what Moeed said and let us know here or there if we can help.

It’s always best to take a step back, slow down, and go through it page by page, section by section. Design your store how you would want it to look from a customer’s perspective. Header, logo, menus, footer, business address, contact info, about us page, etc.

There are so many posts here containing stores that you can compare to. Plus you have hundreds YouTube how-to’s.

You said you didn’t see any products posted? I have over 10 items posted they say active so why are you not seeing them.

Sorry, I should be more specific, on the front page of https://karmaskornerjewelry-2.myshopify.com/ I don’t see any products.

If I click one of the numerous “shop now” buttons, I’m taken to see all the products. I think what you need to do is go into the editor, choose that front page and choose the section where the products should appear. You then probably have to choose those products. Another option is to create a collection and put that there, quite often people choose bestsellers or similar.

Very helpful thank you!! I have been trying to do the collections but can’t figure out how to do it. Is in that link you sent about opening a shop step by step. I think it was worse I didn’t know you could change all the stuff on your homepage. So after some feedback from everyone I tweaked it some but it’s still not finished by any means. I do appreciate you taking the time to help me so appreciative.

Can someone please look at my store and tell me what it needs to draw in customers. I am having so much trouble navigating this site. I don’t even know if my store is open. I also can’t even figure out how to post this I’ve tried 3 times.

Hey @karmaskornerjewelry

Welcome to the community! Quick heads up first of all, how do you expect us to look at your store when you didn’t even attach your store URL along with your post. So, share your store URL (and password if enabled).

Happy to provide you a personalized feedback.

Best,
Moeed

Honestly, if posting this took 3 tries, don’t stress. Shopify’s learning curve is rough at first. Drop your store link here so people can give real feedback, but first make sure your products, homepage, and checkout are actually live in preview/incognito mode.

I keep posting the URL but it just shows up as my shop name in blue and you can click on that. I’ll try to post it here for you thank you for the reply. It wouldn’t let me so I took the m off .com to see if that works

@karmaskornerjewelry

Not sure, what I should give you a feedback on. Just curious to know did you have a look at your website homepage after finishing? Took a look at the live store, and there are a few things worth fixing before you send any traffic to it, because as it stands they’ll cost you trust and sales.

  • No logo or navigation in the header. That’s the first thing every visitor sees, and with no branding and no menu there’s nothing to anchor the store or let people move around it, so most will just bounce.

  • The homepage is still showing placeholder products. That instantly tells a shopper the store isn’t finished, which kills buyer confidence before they even look at what you sell.

  • The footer text is barely readable. The contrast and size are too low, so your policies, contact, and trust info down there get lost, and it makes the whole store feel unpolished.

  • The product pages feel rushed, just oversized images stacked on top of each other with no real description. Product copy is what actually sells and answers the questions that stop people buying, and the layout needs proper structure rather than big images doing all the work.

It does need doing properly or it’ll quietly drag your conversion down. If you’d like, I can take it through and give it the right direction, a proper header and nav, product pages with descriptions that actually convert, and a clean, readable layout throughout. Happy to help if you’re interested.

Hope that helps! If it did, a Like and Marking it as Solution goes a long way and helps others find the fix faster too.

Moeed

Yes that helps so much. Anything you can do to set me up in the right direction would be so appreciated. Thank you!
