I have added 20 New Metafields to my product data.
i have 10,500 products to add data to for each new field.
I have ready data to populate the fields with a csv. upload file.
How do i download a template From Shopify with the new metadata field headers?
I have tried to add data to one item and export it.
Shopify does not appear to allow one to export a single item; it downloaded all files and only includes the standard attributes/headers on the csv . There are no images or headers for the new Metafields.
What is the procedure?
This is the file Shopify exported with apx 11,000 items. No images, no metadata fields

Hi
We use an app to export the fields
“Hextom: Bulk product edit”
and it’s easy to use,
you can find it in the app store.
What i am gathering is Shopify has no actual support of it’s own. It relies on the good will of others and all the other frustrated individuals with similar problems to find each other on line and hope one of them has found a solution to any of the lengthy list of short comings of Shopify. If anyone does show up from Shopify; they never answer questions; the totality of the support advice is to push the inquiry to an APP and thereby make the support the APP developer’s problem. Meanwhile, underemployed techs from various backgrounds and the Shopify developed APPs themselves troll the community pages in order to gather potential client lists and solicit and fill the e-mail inbox of Shopify store owners with their offerings of services. Most of which just want to bill unsuspecting store owners for pointing to APPS in the Shopify store.
I would expect this type of set-up with an open source collaborative software program like Magento 1 was before Adobe bought them or a platform like Apache. Not a fortune 500 listed e-commerce site.
It is like the horrid experience of eBay support. After experiencing it; one can’t imagine what the people running the show are thinking. It is both pathetic and shameful. They obviously have no respect for their own product, their clients or the APP developers who ultimately make the original product function because the Shopify platform, as designed ,is wholly inadequate in the e-commerce landscape of 2024 without the hundreds of crutches the APPs supply. This is an example of how deep into a gutter a company can delve when it becomes solely bottom line driven. Welcome to the muck pool - watch were you step.
