I’m building a website using the Enterprise Theme from Clean Canvas. I’m not a developer.
Store URL is https://ivanhoe-cycles-3868.myshopify.com/
I would like to build a custom section on collection pages that populates a list of subcollections as buttons. I’ve achieved this in a very rough format on the kids bikes page using a custom HTML/Liquid section, but it’s very rough, has to be added into the collection template for every collection one-by-one, and takes up a bit too much vertical space on mobile.
Is there a better way to do this using collection metafields, and creating a new liquid section in the theme file?

Hi @ivanhoecyc3079 I an not able to look into your store as the store is password protected, but with your question I think first you need to add the css so that it will look good on your store.
Also If you want then metafield is a great option as you have mentioned that you don’t want to show it on every product page so in this case using metafield is the best option here.

Sorry about that, I have removed the password so you should be able to see my website now.
I don’t have enough experience or knowledge to write the code myself. I’m not sure how to reference metafields using liquid. If you have any tips or resources on how to build this that would be great!

Hi @ivanhoecyc3079 thanks for removing the password of the store, I have looked into this and yes the first issue is CSS issue and if you want to go with metafields then you can find all the things regarding metafield here: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/custom-data/metafields
Providing the exact code that can work well with your store is not possible as to provide the code I need to see you theme code files, as every theme has different ways and code structure, so without looking into it, its not possible to provide you the exact code.
