POS adding quantities to last item in a saved cart

Since a recent update I have encountered the following problem:

When I have a partially completed cart in the POS and I save that cart so that I can start a new cart with a new customer, when I return to the previous cart, the quantity of the last line item will have increased by 1. I’ll try to explain this clearly:

  1. I have a sale partially scanned in for a customer (Cart 1) who has left the cash register to further browse the shop. I press “save cart” because…
  2. A different customer comes to make a purchase in the meantime. So I complete this new transaction.
  3. I then press “view cart” on the home screen and select Cart 1 that I was working on for the previous customer who is still browsing. I notice that the product in the cart that is last on the list has had its quantity increase by one.

The effect of this is that whenever I return to saved carts, I have to very carefully check the quantities of items in the cart to ensure they have not changed or else I will overcharge the customer.

This is a major problem which has only just appeared since the update which automatically installed on my iPad approx a week ago. I’m not sure which version, but there were both cosmetic and functional changes made.

Is this a known problem? Is there a solution for this or an upcoming update to address this problem?

Thanks

Nick
