Our client runs a plant nursery.
When they sell plants they have to provide details of the ‘plant passport’ for each plant.
Can we customise the receipt template to pull through this information and show it for each plant?
I understand that in Shopify PoS Pro we can customise the template to include barcodes and order notes - but can we add additional information over and above that?

Just to quickly set some expectations for you, Shopify Support Staff are not trained on coding. As such, I can’t advise on what specific coding you need to change to achieve this desired functionality. With that being said, you are able to customize the coding of your receipt templates, so you should be able to include whatever content you like on your results via this template. However, when it comes to pushing/pulling specific information regarding different plants to this template, you’ll likely need someone experienced in coding to help build the functionality you need to push and pull specific plant information to receipts when a plant is purchased.
There’s a chance that someone may come by with some specific code suggestions for you! If not, I recommend seeking some assistance from Partners via our Partner Directory. You can connect with some developers regarding what it takes to push/pull this plant information to these receipts, and see what sort of work (paid or otherwise) would be required to make this happen!
Yes there’s a liquid code editor for the receipt template and it can pull in metafields.
