Hi all, I’m wondering if this is a bug or if I am doing something wrong.
When requesting a UPS pickup from the admin portal, sometimes the UPS driver will tell me that on their end, the request shows I have about 50+ packages, sometimes hundreds of packages. Today I only had 5 packages but the pickup request showed 49 packages on UPS’s side.
Anyone else experiencing this?
The count UPS sees comes from the pickup request Shopify sends through its shipping integration, not from anything you type in, so this is unlikely to be something you are doing wrong. One useful check before reporting: compare the number on your pickup confirmation against the labels you bought that day and against all unshipped labels in the batch. Whichever figure it matches tells support how the count is being aggregated. Then report it through the Help Center with the pickup confirmation number and what the driver saw.
Hi there @daniellasry
There have been similar reports around the pickup request not seemingly always matching the actual number of packages to be shipped. As a workaround, verfy the pickup request only contains the labels you intend on sending before submitting, and if the number looks wrong to you, cancel and submit a new pickup request. It’s also worth running a check of the labels created for the day against the pickup requested to see if any duplicates are unexpected. I hope that other can confirm if they have seen this behavior.
