The links which say “Contact Support” and “24/7 Help” always lead to a page with a search bar and a lot of articles, or this user forum. Those can be very useful, but of course they are not “Contacting Support” or “24/7 Help”, and posting on a user forum is not “Contacting Support”. Can someone tell me if it’s possible to contact human beings for Shopify support? Yes or no? And if yes, how? If I sound frustrated, I am. I did not think this was the type of company which tries to completely avoid providing any support.
Hi @janeayers
I can assure you that Shopify continues to offer 24/7 support through our Help Center! You are correct, when you go through the steps to get support you need to search for your issue. This is to ensure that you get connected with the correct support team right away.
The flow to see all our support options should look like this:
You will want to sign into our Help Center, which you can do by following this link: Shopify Help Center - Get Support
Next, you will need to search for your issue using the search bar.
At the bottom of the search results (not inside a specific help article) there will be a continue to contact support option. Once clicked, it should show you all available support options like chat, phone, email and community.
If that doesn’t work for any reason please let me know and share a screenshot of the last step you are able to complete.
Thanks for your reply. I did take the exact steps you describe, and I went through the cycle at least 5 complete times. I was motivated and paying attention, but I could not for the life of me get access to the main Contact screen.
In desperation I came back to this Forum and managed to grab the Incognito Chat link from another post here, and spent about 45 minutes with someone. She was only able to reply about once every 10 minutes. But from her I was encouraged to make one more effort.
I did the same steps as before, but this time typed some nonsense characters into the Search, and that allowed me to get to the Contact screen.
I’ve been a professional interface designer for 24 years. That interface is designed to prevent people from accessing human help.
I do appreciate you replying. I’m just so totally disappointed in Shopify, just as I was getting excited about using it.
Best,
Jane
Do you not think this is extraordinarily convoluted as a way to communicate and back your customers? I do. I’ve been paying for a year for zero help and zero activity and corresponding zero sales and now you have increased your fees. I would like a simple conversation with a human or i will need to part ways with Shopify.
Totally agree and feel cheated at this point.
