I am looking to implement a third party app for a new Shopify Store. We have a slightly unique situation where I want to offer a Bundle of the product and replacement parts on a subscription basis (1,3,6 months), all on a pre-order basis, and then charge customers upon fulfillment. Does anyone have any experience trying to implement something like this? I’ve reached out to a few third party app developers but haven’t had any success yet. Thanks in advance!

From the Shopify Help Center:
Certain features are incompatible with product bundles. Review the following considerations:
- Bundles aren’t compatible with purchase options, which includes subscriptions, pre-orders, and try-before-you-buy.
- Bundles aren’t compatible with the Shopify Subscriptions app.
- Bundles can’t be used with Shopify POS to sell your products in person.

So unfortunately it seems Shopify themselves don’t currently support bundles with pre-order/subscription apps. Hopefully this changes in the future.

If your budget is not tight - I would advise custom development using the Recharge app configuration that has the broad API functionality. I’ve done very custom configurations using it before so the described task can be implemented there too.
