My store has an item that I want to open up pre-orders for, but if a customer purchases the pre-order (that will ship later) and regularly shipped items, the post-purchase customer communications becomes confusing. We were originally using an app to split the orders into regular vs pre-order items, but the customers were confused.
I want to integrate a few apps or split the orders so that the customer will get a post-purchase email that shows the order number, and what will arrive in shipment 1 and what will arrive in shipment 2 with expected dates. I have not found an app that has been able to do this. Does anyone have advice?
