Pre Order Products Shows As In-Stock Chromium Theme

Hello, So our issue here is that we have pre-order products that show as in stock in our theme.
It should say “Pre-Order” or “Out Of Stock” and not “In Stock”
Example:

This item is out of stock and has the Pre-Order button but it shows as “In Stock”

Welcome to Shopify Community.

As for preorder the product is available and ready to be sold, it is showing Instock. Because no code has been set up for preorder badge to show when preorder product are available. So the code needs to be altered.

OK - we can’t have it show “In Stock” if it’s only for pre-order. I’ve asked the different pre-order apps if they can fix this and so far none of them have been able to help. So we need to change our own code ourselves? I hope not :disappointed_face: because we don’t have a developer for that and we don’t know code.

Sure - I didn’t know this would require any custom coding. It doesn’t seem normal that an item that is out of stock, would say in stock, so I thought this was some kind of Shopify issue.
