prestige theme favicon not showing on mobile

So i migrated my domain from wordpress to shopify. And when i changed my favicon on theme settings it works only for desktop but not on mobile. On my mobile it shows the old favicon and no favicon on google search.

theme im using : prestige

Paste this code in your theme.js in the head area.

Did you make any changes to get this fixed? I ask because I checked on both mobile Chrome and Safari and the Favicon showed up on both for me:

Chrome:

If it’s still not showing up on your end, I’m thinking it could be a cache issue and it might be worth clearing your cache as both Chrome and Safari are supported by Shopify. You can see how to clear your cache for any and all browsers and devices here. Let me know!

hello yes it shows on mobile but not showing on google index. I think i have to wait for couple times for google to index it ?

I’m not 100% sure what you mean by the favicon not showing up on Google index. Could you elaborate a little more on that, please? The items Google would be searching for when indexing are the following:

  • Title - this is the title of the product page, page, blog, etc.
  • URL - the direct URL to the page.
  • Description - the 320 character or less meta description of the page.
  • Sitelinks - Underneath the primary domain, other pages on the website will be shown.
