Prestige Theme Limiting Color Swatches on Collections Page

I have products with hundreds of variants. Currently, on the collection page, every color swatch is shown. I’d like to limit it to a preview of one line of swatches shown, and then put (+X more colors) next to/below. Or maybe just an option to expand the color swatches, but have the default be to only show one line.

Is there a straightforward way to do this? It doesn’t seem to be an option within the theme itself.

Here’s an example of how crazy it looks to have ALL of the swatches shown:

It’s possible but not without the customization.
You need to go with a developer to achieve it.
