Prevent going directly to checkout page after adding to cart a product

Whenever I add to cart a product, it goes directly to the checkout page. How to prevent this? This can be annoying to the customers

Are you using Dawn theme? In theme you can update the Cart type to “Drawer” or “Popup notification” to open a crawer.

I also would like some help on this.

I’m using the Sense theme, and have three options

  • Drawer
  • Page
  • Popup notification

Drawer works, but it’s not the effect I want, because I ultimately want people to get a chance to be upsold on the full cart page.

But both “Page” and “Popup notification” do the same thing… they just take the user immediately to the cart page. I can’t actually tell the difference between these two options.

The old Debut theme allowed an option where a little mini-drawer pop-up would show up at the top to note that something had been added to the cart, but it didn’t take the user immediately to the cart.

Any ideas?
