Is it possible to have one price for some customers and another price for others based on customer tags? Specifically whole and retail prices.
Thank you! I am in the process of having a few changes made and I do not want to do anything until that is settled. When done, I will contact you. I assume it would involve adding a field to the product and or variant page such as “Price 2”? Or would it be a situation where if the customer tag is “Retail”, as an example, then use a percentage multiplier of price?
Hi Mildwild1,
The best way to have one price for wholesale, and another for retail is to:
- Give all your wholesale customers a specific tag
- Create an automatic discount for customers with that tag
This way, your retail customers will receive the default price, while your wholesale customers will receive special pricing that no one else can see.
Unfortunately, Shopify’s built-in automatic discounts don’t support limiting to customers with specific tags.
Instead, you can try our app, Regios Automatic Discounts (4.8 stars, Built for Shopify).
Best,
Tobe

Hi @mildwild1 ,
yes, this is possible you can create a discount code applicable for specific users having required tag.
Now create a metaobject which will store the references of tag and discount code.
finally you need script and liquid code which will implement the applicable discount on the products and cart.
Hope this will help…
Hi @mildwild1 If you are still looking for a solution to this, you can try using the Discount Depot App that allows you to display different prices to different customers based on the customer tags assigned to them.
