Price differences for countries

Topic summary

A UK-based seller is experiencing revenue discrepancies when selling products internationally. Their £24.99 UK product yields significantly less when sold abroad:

Pricing gaps identified:

  • Turkey: £20.83 (£4.16 less)
  • Canada: 38 CAD (£21.74, £3.25 less)
  • USA: $28 (£21.88, £3.11 less)

Root cause: The seller suspects tax-related issues, noting UK customers pay VAT while international customers may not, creating the price differential.

Proposed solutions:
Multiple approaches are available to standardize international pricing:

  • Configure market-specific pricing through Shopify admin settings
  • Set up separate markets with adjusted rates accounting for local tax/VAT differences
  • Use third-party apps for currency and pricing management

The discussion remains open regarding which specific solution the seller will implement to ensure consistent revenue across all markets.

Hi, I hope someone can help.

We sell products out of the UK at £24.99 each.

My issue is, if a customer is in a different country we are getting way less for our products, For example, Turkey our item is £20.83. Canada our item is 38 CAD or £21.74. USA is 28 dollars or £21.88.

I am guessing this is a tax issue. Our UK customers have VAT added but how do I make that when we are paid we are getting the correct amount in our account from customers overseas?

Many thanks

James

Hi, @technically_sta it is possible with multiple options, using third-party apps, using Shopify admin settings, and working on markets and setting up rates for each market separately based on the tax and VAT there. I can do it, or you can visit simply Shopify settings and then set up markets based on your products and pricing. DM if you need assistance
