I couldn’t really find a documentation nor post regarding the questions so decided to ask it here. Please let me know if this question is not appropriate.
May I ask is offering a free plan or free trial a requirement for an app that charge recurringly? Is it acceptable to only have paid plans for an app? Thank you!

Free trials are not mandatory for subscription apps, no. If you choose to, you can make it so your app does not come with a free trial or plan and the merchant will see a charge generated for their next invoice as soon as the app is installed.
That said, the majority of paid apps on the Shopify App Store do offer either a free trial or a free plan to give merchants the opportunity to install and use the app in their stores before making a payment or committing to a subscription. Not having either option will likely deter some merchants from considering your app, so you’ll want to bear this in mind when deciding how to structure your pricing model and whether or not you offer a free trial to merchants.
