Print out individual product labels against an order

Topic summary

A Shopify merchant needs to print custom product labels for individual items within orders, with specific requirements:

Key Requirements:

  • Print variable quantities of labels per SKU (e.g., 50 units of one product, 30 of another)
  • Labels must be A6/A7 size with a specific layout
  • Must include both product information (pulled from SKU) and order-specific details for traceability
  • Need barcode integration
  • Ability to reprint specific quantities if initial print fails

Current Status:
The user initially asked for app recommendations. After reviewing suggested options, they reported that available apps don’t meet their needs—specifically lacking the ability to print retail labels directly from orders with the required combination of product and order information.

The discussion remains unresolved, with the merchant still seeking a suitable solution for their custom label printing workflow.

When I get an order I’d like to be able to print out the required number of product labels/cards per item ordered. Ie if a customer orders 50 x SKU1 and 30 x SKU2 I’d like to be able to select a SKU and print a chosen number of labels for it, the labels show information about the product and the order for tracability and are A6 / A7 in size. A sometimes the printer messes I might need 50 on the first run and then only a couple later if they print has not worked. I would need to draw product information from the SKU and include a barcode on the label.

Is anyone aware of any apps which can do this?

Thanks, will look into those…

Not quite from what I can see. I can only find a couple of those and they dont seem to be able to do what I want. I need to go into the order and print the required number of retail labels. The labels (A6 in size and a specific layout) need to hold both product information and specific order information for tracability.
