- I use printify. The question is, if a customer buys my product, will the money go directly into my account at that time? Because I don’t have the capital to pay at printify.
Hi @Drawan
When a customer places an order on your Shopify store, the payment goes to your Shopify payment provider account (like Shopify Payments, PayPal, or another gateway you’ve set up). However, this money doesn’t become instantly available — there’s usually a payout delay of a few days, depending on the provider.
On the other hand, Printify charges you for the order upfront, at the time it’s placed. That means you need to have available funds or a connected payment method (like a credit/debit card or PayPal) to cover the product and shipping costs immediately when the order is routed to Printify.
So, unfortunately, unless you already have funds available or a credit line, you might face a gap between when Printify charges you and when Shopify pays you.
A few possible solutions:
-
Use a credit card to cover Printify charges and pay it off once your payout arrives.
-
Enable manual order fulfillment, so you can delay submitting the Printify order until your Shopify payout clears (just be mindful of shipping timelines).
-
Consider pre-order or longer shipping timeframes in your store policy to buy more time.
