What is this code on top of my shopify store, and how do i solve this?
Topic summary
Main issue: Random code is appearing at the top of a Shopify store. A screenshot was provided, which is central to understanding the problem.
Current assessment: Multiple replies indicate the cause is malformed or typo-ridden theme code, making JavaScript render as visible text. This may have been introduced by a recent app installation or manual theme edits.
Suggested actions:
- Restore a recent theme duplicate/backup to quickly revert the issue.
- Share concrete details (store URL, theme name) to enable targeted troubleshooting.
- Review recent changes: uninstall or disable any newly added app and revert recent code edits to isolate the culprit.
- Inspect theme files for syntax errors or misplaced script blocks causing output to display on-page.
Status: Unresolved. Further information from the store owner is needed to diagnose precisely, and no fix has been confirmed yet.
There’s some typo or error in the theme code that is causing javascript to render as text.
If you have a recent theme duplicate or backup try that.
Beyond that actually troubleshooting something like that without reference urls is a guessing game, and even with urls it can take alot of poking around to find the core problem.

This is for sure caused by malformed code in your theme
Did you recently install an app or adjust any of the theme code?
