Problems to log in with CLI

Hi, I am having the following trouble with the CLI login to my client’s store.
I have a partner’s access to his store.

Shopify version 3.88.0

MAC OS Sequoia Version 15.6.1.

The store is not a dev store; it is a live store. You can check it out here.

Yesterday I was developing for another client. Also, I have a partner’s access there, and everything worked fine.

Has anyone encountered the same problem? Do you have a solution?

Thank you very much for your help.

Hey @david-kaplan,

Thanks for posting this to Shopify Community. The issue that you are encountering, happens due to many of the reasons. The main reason that i understand is you might logged-in another Partner account while working on it. Or you might switch from Existing Gmail ID to another ID.

As, the issue is clear that you have change the logins detail.

This maybe technical issue from Shopify. Have you contact with the Chat Support Before?

Shopify help support will definitely fix this issue.

Hi, thank you for your response. I am not sure what you mean by login manually, but I am logged in to the admin, and CLI prompts me to log in when connecting to the store. I do log in, and I get this error.

you can try the command shopify auth logout, this will logout the current partner account , then you can try next steps

HI @david-kaplan

Think you store is wrong, you should try to target

1nq8hk-4g.myshopify.com

and fantario.myshopify.com may not exist, or it is a different store.

You must use the correct Shopify name. If you are logged into your partner account, click on the merchant’s name. In the top right corner, you will find the correct URL, which will be different from fantariocz.myshopify.com.

The following is correct for your customer store
shopify theme dev --store 1nq8hk-4g

What you see is just a name that has been changed. Customers usually do this so that they can remember the shop URL more easily.
