Product Availability for newly installed Sales Channel

The Shopify Help Center states that when a new Sales Channel is installed, all products are available to that Sales Channel by default. Is this still true?

Through my own testing it seems like only products that are active and listed on the online store sales channel are listed on the newly installed Sales Channel.

It is true that when you install the Sales Channel, the products that are ‘Active’ will be available in the channel, and the ‘draft’ products will not be available. However, sometimes due to bugs or some issues, all products available on your online store can be found on the Sales Channel.
