Product bundle app recommendation: one that checks out 2 products

Hi I need a really simple product bundling app that will just add two products into one product, display it how I want with some options but then check out as the two original products in my cart. Does a simple bundling app like this exist?

For example, I have two products with a few options, like Product 1 > Variant Option A; 1, 2, 3

Product 2 > Variant Option A; 1, 2, 3

I’d like to add a new product that bundles Product 1 Variant A 2, and Product 2 Variant A 1 as a new product, but then when you check out it’s just the two products in the cart rather than the newly formed product with its price.

Does that make sense? Does this exist?

Thanks!

Hi @stickersauce43

This is Ellie from BOGOS: Free gifts, Discounts & Bundles.

BOGOS app is a great choice if you’re looking to create product bundles where the original products (with their selected variants) remain separate in the cart at checkout. It includes a widget that shows bundle offers directly on the product page. This makes it simple for customers to see and add bundles without having to look elsewhere, which keeps the shopping experience smooth and quick.

If you’re after a tool that makes bundling easy for you and your customers, BOGOS is a great option. Let me know if you want more details!

Hi @stickersauce43

Yes, this should be possible with our app, Profit Bundles. We also offer a free 1:1 Google Meet with our in-house experts who will help you set it up live on the call.

Hi @stickersauce43 ,

Thank you for your question.
I’ve come across a great option that might be a good fit for your request AOV Bundle Upsell. It can create fixed bundles into a new product from your existing items.

This team is known for their enthusiasm and commitment to resolving customer issues. Given their willingness to assist, I believe it could be worth trying to install the app and reaching out to them to see if they can customize it to meet your specific needs.

I’d recommend checking it out to see if it aligns with your vision. I hope my answer is helpful!

Best,

Hi @stickersauce43 ,

You could try using the Bundler app. Our app does not create any unnecessary new bundle products in your store. It simply uses you existing products and bundles them through a widget. However, you could use our workaround for displaying bundles as standalone products. That way, your bundles could appear in collections as “bundle products”, but when a customer would click on the product, they would get redirected to a bundle page, where they could complete the bundle. Here is our tutorial on how to achieve this with the Bundler app: https://bundler.app/frequently-asked-question-item/why-are-my-bundles-not-displaying-in-my-collections-3

Hi @stickersauce43 , thank you for posting here!

You can easily make a bundle like your case with Snap Bundle Volume Discount - a free Shopify app that helps you easily set up the bundle for any variants or any products of your new Shopify store.

HI @stickersauce43,
That’s a key distinction you’ve pointed out. You’re right, many merchants need ‘inventory-tracked’ bundles where both (or all) SKUs are added to the cart, not just a single “kit” product. If you’re still looking for a solution (or for anyone else finding this thread), our app **Fether** was designed to handle this perfectly. You can use our **Product Bundles Builder** to create a bundle (e.g., Product A + Product B). When a customer clicks “Add Bundle,” both individual SKUs are added to the cart, allowing you to track inventory for each product perfectly. You can see how it works here: [https://fether.app/\]
(Full disclosure: I’m part of the Fether team and just wanted to confirm our app meets this specific requirement!)

Yes, JTDL: Bundles & Discounts works exactly the way you described. The app allows you to create a bundle product that groups multiple existing products together while still letting customers select variants for each individual product within the bundle.

From the customer’s perspective, the products are presented as a single bundled offer using our fully responsive widget. When the bundle is added to the cart, it appears as a grouped bundle for clarity. However, in the final order, the bundle is automatically split into the original individual line items.

This means:

  • Inventory is tracked normally for each individual line item

  • Orders and fulfillment remain fully compatible with standard Shopify workflows

  • No Shopify Plus plan is required — the app works with all merchant plans

If you’d like, I’d be happy to walk you through an example or assist with setting this up for your specific products. Please let me know if you have any questions or need further details.

Hi @stickersauce43 :raising_hands:

With your requirement to let customers build their own bundle, choose each item (including its options/variants), display it as a complete set, and still have everything split into the original products in the cart at checkout, our Easify Box Builder app can fully support exactly what you described—just like the example you shared.

Here’s an example I’ve created so you can see how it works:

  • This is the result:

  • This is the app setting:

Currently, the app offers 4 box types, and for your use case, you should use the Regular Box, since it’s the best fit for flexible bundles - without a fixed quantity requirement and without forcing a fixed bundle price.

When you create a Regular Box, you simply add the component products into the box, and each product keeps its own variants and individual pricing. Customers can click “Choose options”, select the size/color, then click “Add to box”—exactly like the demo you’re seeing.

In the Box Review step, the system will clearly display all selected products, quantities, options, and the total price of the entire set, so customers can review everything before checkout.

At checkout, the app will add the bundle items to the cart as the original individual products - not as a virtual bundle product - so inventory tracking and order reporting will continue to work correctly as usual.

Easify Box Builder makes setup simple with its user-friendly design and rapid configuration process - everything can be up and running in just a few minutes.

you’re basically looking for a “virtual bundle” where the product page looks like one combined item, but checkout still uses the original SKUs.

A simple option that does exactly this is Adoric Bundles. You can:
• Build a bundle product page with your own layout
• Pre-select the variants you want (ex: Product 1 – A2 + Product 2 – A1)
• And at checkout it automatically adds the two real products instead of a fake bundle SKU

No duplicate product creation, no manual syncing, and inventory stays accurate since it pulls from the original items.

If you need to see how the setup works, happy to walk you through it

Hi @stickersauce43

I’d like to share an update about the BOGOS App.

It has recently released a “Product Bundle” feature that fits exactly what you’re looking for.

With bundle products, you can display a bundle as a single product on your storefront, but when it’s added to the cart, it’s still treated as the separate original products. This means inventory stays perfectly in sync with the original items.

You can also define specific variant options for each product included in the bundle.

Here is how it’s display on store:
