Product Collections as a Carousel on Home Page

I am wanting to change the collections on my home page to display as a carousel (without product name and price). And then on the mobile version have 2 products from the carousel visible (instead of only one which it shows at the moment).

We will be adding more products to both of these collections so need to be able to see all, not just the first 4.

Hello, navigate to the section you are referring to by going to Themes> Customize then Select The Collection.

Next, apply these settings and Save:

I am using the theme Narrative version 10.3.0

I see, so because the Narrative theme is discontinued and no longer supported by Shopify you will probably need to hire a developer. Because it is outdated and now a “vintage theme” it will not have specific sections. Another downside of these older themes is that additional sections outside of the homepage may have to be added to the theme files using code to function properly.

Without having access to the store, I believe it will probably need to be done with custom code. I do not have a copy of the theme to see all the section types. You can try something like a “multicolumn” section instead, then hide certain elements to have a similar effect to what you are going for.

Oh that’s not exactly what I want to hear. It sounds like I might need to find a similar theme and redo the website so I have more flexibility moving forward. Any suggestions for similar themes to what we are using?

While these might not be exactly like narrative one may be similar enough. You could try:

Motion: https://themes.shopify.com/themes/motion/styles/classic/preview
Prestige: https://themes.shopify.com/themes/prestige/styles/allure/preview

In terms of FREE themes the best option would probably be “Dawn” but it may require some customization to get things how you’d like them.
