Product color as variants or create multiple products?

Hi. In our store we sell different t-shirt products. They come in different colors.

We treat each T-shirt color as a different product, so the collection page looks better.

Also each color has its own set of 6 images.

However in this way, the reviews (on Yotpo) are linked to color. The red product does not show the green product review, even if it is the same product.

Would it make more sense to make the colors a variant of the product, and on the collection page, show the products in all color-variants? But then, how to show the 6 images associated with the color?

Is there a best practice?

Hi

If you mean keep the single products and also have a parent product that contains each color variant then it may cause inventory problems unless you link the identical products up.

In terms of colors you can assign the specific ones to each variant and will be up to your theme setup how they get displayed. You can add an image containing all colors to your default image of the parent product.
