Hello,
We are using the Symmetry theme and would like to separate our product variants as separate products. All of the CSS we’ve found is specific for Dawn and most of the apps seem to only have paid versions (past their trial).
We are a bit “app fatigued” and would like to build this feature into the code itself. Can anyone help provide a solution?

Welcome to Shopify Community.
You can link multiple products as variants using meta field. Create a product meta field with option to choose multiple products. And add the code to the PDP to show them as swatches. If you are not okay with Code then you either contact the theme developer to hire a developer to set this for you at reasonable cost.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, everything is already setup as variants (color and style) and is available on the product page. The aspect we’re having trouble with is the implementation of it within our collection pages so that you don’t just “shop by design”.
The theme developer recommended us installing an app. I guess we’re looking for a developer to support.

Ive been trying to sort this out for my store by looking at your solutions but cant seem to get it right.
Like the original poster i have sorted out the colors and variants and swatches however we want the variant to link to the actual product.

Manual way require code knowledge and different implementation per theme. You can find a code example for Dawn theme in this topic and also there is an app suggestion.
