Product configurator for electronics (bundled sets)

Hi All,

Our store sells complex electronics. E.g. control unit, display, drivers, etcetera. Due to the complexity (what works with what) we mainly sell sets that are predefined rather than the components that make up the set. I receive often questions to make changes to a set (as there are a million possibilities) therefore our store would benefit from a sort of product configurator or bundler. But it’s mandatory to have some logic included to make sure that the right components end up with each other.

ultimately It would almost be a sort of questionnaire.. Question 1) what control unit do you need. Question 2) what display do you need whereas only compatibele displays are shown. Question 3) what driver do you need.

Any recommendations on which app this could do or how can I best solve this problem?

Not sure if you’re still looking for a solution since the post was opened a few years ago.

Currently, our app BYOB - Build Your Own Bundles has launched a new feature called Guided Bundle. It aims to guide customers step by step to reduce selection complexity.

When the customer selects a step, the next step will show the compatible products based on the rules set up by the store. After customers finish all steps, they will add the selected products as a bundle to the cart.
