Product Discount still applies on checkout (not automatic discount)

Is there a way to remove the discount added to an abandoned product upon checkout? When I add the discount code on checkout and leave the checkout page, the discount should not be their.

Can you please go into more details on why you want the discount code to be removed, after the customer has manually entered it?
