Hi All!
I am putting together an apparel store in the Dawn 2.0 theme. I have categories in my menu such as Tops, Bottom’s ect. Under each main menu(parent) I have nested or sub menu’s for example under Top’s I have sub menu’s for Short Sleeve, Long Sleeve, T Shirts, Sweatshirts, ect. Each nested menu is a collection of it’s own and all populate perfectly. I would like to find out how to have all the nested menu collections also populate to the parent menu of All Tops. Is this possible?

This is a good question. I’ve faced this issue myself. I came up with 2 scenarios.

I created a page for each top menu item. I edited the page and selected a group of collections (referencing each subcategory) in a collection grid or carousel.

Create a collection that has all the product tags of your sub categories. I didn’t like that, because it basically filled my page with every product.

I guess a third option is just to select one of your sub categories collection and put it in the top level menu item as well.

I tried option 2 and entered the collection name as a tag in the parent menu and when I opened the page it says “No products found Use fewer filters or clear all”.
Here is a screen grab of the menu. For example I have products in the sweaters and short sleeve collections that show in the store but want them all to populate in the All tops menu as well. Using the tags makes sense but it won’t work as I listed the error message above.

Okay. Just checked mine navigation. My top level menu pulls a collection (gear totes) then I customized the page it brought up, turned everything off and added a collection grid that each item is one of the sub navigation. I was trying to use filters but it looks like it’s working on your site by using the tags. I have some tagging to get working on. Thanks again!!
