Hello. In the beginning, when an order was placed, the product images were visible, but recently, when an order was placed, the images of some products were not visible. The products were not deleted, the product images remained. Has anyone experienced this before? I am waiting for your help on this issue.
Possible Causes and Fixes1. Image Cache Issue:
- Shopify uses caching to load images faster. If the image was updated or the cache was corrupted, it might not load properly in some parts of the admin or order details.
- Solution:
- Open the Products section in Shopify Admin, locate the product with missing images, and re-upload or save the existing image again to refresh the cache.
-
Product Image URL Change:
- If the product image URL was changed (e.g., re-uploaded or edited), Shopify may not update the URL in the order details.
- Solution: Verify the product’s image URL. You can check this by:
- Going to Products > Select the product and ensuring the correct image is present.
- Use the “View” option to preview the product in your storefront and confirm if the image loads.
-
Product Variant Images Missing:
- If the missing image is for a variant (e.g., specific color or size), ensure that the variant has its image set.
- Solution:
- Go to Products > Select Product > Variants.
- Assign an image to the variant and save the changes.
-
Theme or App Conflict:
- Some custom themes or apps might interfere with how product images are displayed in orders.
- Solution:
- Temporarily switch to a default Shopify theme (like Dawn) and check if the issue persists.
- Disable any recently added apps and check if the issue resolves.
-
Old Orders Issue:
- Shopify stores the order details as they were at the time of purchase. If the product image was modified after the order was placed, it might not reflect correctly.
- Solution:
-
For new orders, verify if the product images display correctly after making changes. Unfortunately, Shopify doesn’t automatically update past orders.
### Contact Shopify SupportIf none of the above solutions work, this might be a Shopify bug. Contact Shopify support via: - **Shopify Help Center**: Shopify Support - Provide them: - A screenshot of the issue (like the one you shared). - The order number and product details. - Steps to reproduce the problem.

Hi, MertOzay
I’ve encountered the same issue. The products in your order don’t match the ones in your product list. It might be that some fields, such as price or SKU, have been changed. Just check those fields.
By the way, my scenario is that the order is generated by the subscription plan.
I have the same issue as well and none of the solutions above work. I ahve seen it sporadically and now it seems to be almost all products. There are a few where the image still shows.
