Product Metafields do not update on frontend

I have a few product metafields set up that I display on the frontend; dates for when products will be available next, notes about special order lead times, etc…

These display fine on the frontend, but the problem I am having is that if I update the information on the backend they are never updated on the frontend… and I have even waited for a few days with no change and even tried in different browsers (to rule out browser caching issues.)

Is this a bug somewhere in the system, or am I missing something on the frontend code? (like a tag on the display code to pull the latest info?)

This is odd, definitely sounds like a caching issue. I wonder if going into the theme customizer and editing/saving one of the pages where the metafield appears forces a cache purge?

No luck there either — I have tried that several times as well.
