We have an issue on our website, as listed below. https://neilo.co.nz/products/m5111-cabin-grader-stabiliser-unit
Our product options fields have stopped being transferred into our ‘Request For Quote’ when adding a product to quote.
Basically our site used to do this, so a user selected their requirements, clicked add to quote and built up their own quote to send off for pricing. Basically the options are not transferring through to the quote request at all, so we don’t have any idea what spec they would like us to price their grader/broom. It has only stopped working around a month ago.
I’m not sure if its an update or something I’ve done that has stopped it working. I’d appreciate any help.
Hello @toddhart ,
It sounds like your “Request For Quote” functionality isn’t pulling through the product options anymore, which is definitely a problem if you need to know what specs your customers are asking for. Here are a few things to check:
-
Theme or App Update:
If this was working before and stopped about a month ago, there may have been an update to either your theme or the quote request app that changed how product options are handled. Check if any updates or changes were made around that time.
-
Review the Liquid Code:
Look into the code for your “Add to Quote” button and form. It should be passing the product variant or option values to the quote request. There might be a missing or broken liquid variable or JavaScript that’s not transferring the selected options correctly.
-
App Settings:
If you’re using a third-party app for the quote process, review its settings to see if there’s an option for including product options. Sometimes a setting might have been reset during an update.
-
Console Errors:
Open your browser’s developer tools and check the console for any JavaScript errors when you add a product to the quote. That might give you a clue if something’s failing in the background.
-
Reach Out for Help:
If you’re not comfortable troubleshooting the code yourself, it might be worth reaching out to a Shopify expert who can dig into the integration details. Sometimes even a small code snippet is enough to break the functionality.
Hope this helps point you in the right direction—let me know if you have any more questions!
