Product Pages - Get Customization Information For Products (Minimal Theme)

I need one product to have extra line items where a customer can type in their customization info before they purchase. I need this information to end up on the Order page (bonus points if it ends up on the Packing Slip.)

When I got to the section “Apply your new template to a product,” it says: The contents of the product.liquid template can be found in /sections/product-template.liquid

When I add my snippets to the /sections/product-template.liquid they apply to ALL of my product listings, not just the one I need them to apply to.

My theme is Minimal. I am feeling like maybe that’s my problem.

Let me know what you smarties think. I don’t know what I am doing, but I love to learn. :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi @JRabb ,

Seems you want this custom line item for a few products only. You should create metafield for the product.

Put a validation for the existing metafield value and put liquid code in main-product.liquid.

Assuming you have basic knowledge of coding.
