On my website, I had cornhole bags marked down from $39.99 to $29.99 for Labor Day. To accomplish this, I changed the base price from $39.99 to $29.99 and added $39.99 as "the “compare to” price. This worked fine and the theme automatically a inserted a “25% off” alert to the title block of the product page template.
I’ve now reverted back to $39.99 as the base price and changed the “compare to” price field to 0.00. Two things have NOT reverted:
Is anyone else seeing this? Is there a simply a delay in the site updating? I’ve tried the site in multiple browsers and it’s there so it’s not a caching issue.
the 2nd point the discount 25% still showing on your collection page. It’s correct, so do you think your theme have another option to configure that showing on Collection page?
Hi @davidculbertson ,
I hope this message finds you well.
This usually happens if the Compare at price field isn’t fully cleared for every product/variant. Go to the product in Shopify → check all variants → make sure the Compare at price is completely empty (not 0.00, but blank). Save changes.
If it still shows 25% off, clear your theme cache by republishing the theme or temporarily switching themes. Also, check if your theme/app (e.g., discount badge app) is pulling cached data.
If you find my recommendations helpful, a like would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks & Regards
Manoj
I see that it displays correctly on the product page, but incorrectly on your collection page because you are using the Globo filter app. You need to sync the new data for the app to appear correctly.
Thanks to everyone for their excellent and speedy suggestions. As it turned out, the developer of the site had recently added coding to the theme so that anytime a product had a “bogo-50-off” tag, the title was altered to show the percent off (the “25% off” should have read something like “BOGO 50% Off” but that’s a different issue. Tag removed (until needed again) and problem solved!
