Hi, I noticed yesterday that my product photos are no longer “attached” to their assigned color swatches and I have no idea why. I use a third-party “color swatch” app (Swatches Dotify) and have for the past few years with no changes. I reached out to the app developer but am waiting to hear back. In the meantime, i am trying to troubleshoot what could have changed on the backend/theme code to cause this issue? When you click on the color swatch, the assigned photo does not pop up…nothing happens!

You’ve to check the functionality of your theme, that whether it’s support the image swatches on not. If it’s support then you need to apply that setting, otherwise it requires to do the custom code into your theme file.

It looks like there’s an error being given on the front end when I try to change colors of the hat:
From what I gather from the errors, it looks like there is a property that is missing a value when the user clicks on the different colors (it is returning as “null” which means it’s empty).
My guess is that the theme had an update lately and it’s not playing nice with the color swatch app. Be sure to send the screenshot of the error I attached to the app developer; it should help them narrow down the issue and help them resolve it.
