i need the product image to show on top of the link.

Thank you for reaching out! Without further testing, it is hard to pinpoint the exact reason for this. To eliminate a local issue, can you confirm if the image doesn’t appear on Whatsapp mobile app or desktop version? Also, does it happen across multiple devices?
Your screenshot shows that the URL in question is a link to the product page. When sharing a product page URL, the preview image should be the primary product image by default.
I tested sharing my store link via WhatsApp on mobile app, and the image appeared as expected. Have you saved this product’s images within admin at the time of testing? Also, does the image show up when you send the message?
