Product stock availability by location and channel

Hi all.

I am trying to resolve a stock availability issues where I have stock across 2 locations and I want certain products to be available to my online store and POS location, and others just to my POS location. For example:

I have stock of product at my warehouse (all available for online store) and my POS location (also all currently available for online store).

What I want to acheive is:

  • product A has stock at both locations and stock pulls to both online store and POS (as is)
  • product B has stock at both locations but I only want stock at warehouse to pull to online store, and not the POS stock.

I want to avoid creating multiple variants/SKUs to manage this, so am thinking it might be an app route, but i’m struggling to find something that solves this.

This should be solvable with a bit of custom code and a multi-location inventory app like Inventric. use the app to surface location level stock in the storefront and a custom tagging logic to decide which product should be available in the online store.
