A merchant using the Hyper Shopify theme wants the product page to show only the images for the selected variant (e.g., Single, King, Queen). They couldn’t find the “Hide other variant media after selecting variant” setting; clarification notes Hyper’s option hides only the main variant image, not multiple images per variant.
Options proposed:
App-based: Use the Rubik Variant Images app to assign and display multiple images per variant. The developer (who disclosed their affiliation) shared a demo video and said the app now integrates with Hyper and support is available. The merchant asked if a one‑time payment is available, noting the monthly plan seems costly.
Custom code: This is an advanced theme customization. Possible approaches include tagging images via alt-text conventions or using metafields (custom data fields) to link images to variants; implementation varies by theme. One contributor offered paid one-time customization.
Status: No resolution yet. The merchant will check the app and awaits clarity on pricing; custom coding remains an alternative. A demo video and an attached image were referenced.

I am in pocess of trying Hyper Shopify theme. Hoping to select it soon.
My products have variations, such as Single, King, Queen. I want to apply ‘Product Variation’ feature i.e., when I click on Single - only single images should show.
When I Googled on how to do it, I was asked to select this option - “Hide other variant media after selecting variant”
However , I was unable to see this option. I have attached the image.
Can someone please guide me … regarding the correct process ? Am I doing somethng wrong ?
Hello @SurTri in Hyper theme this option will hide only main variant image assigned to the specific variant. But if you need to display multiple variant images per each option you can achieve this with Rubik app. For the full transparency I am the founder and developer of this app and we built this to solve exactly this problem you are facing. Recently we already integrated it with Hyper theme so it should work seemlessly in your store.
You can watch this video to see how the app works.
Hi @SurTri not all themes have every feature, multiple images per variant is an advanced theme customization.
If you are code savvy there should be plenty of tutorials online for “multiple image variants” customizations etc
Basically it’s either using a text-convention in the product images alt-text or using metafields, etc
But implementation will vary by theme.
