Products are showing as sold out

Products are showing as sold out even though stock is available. I’m using AliDrop, and I’ve confirmed that all variants have inventory in hand. What could be causing this issue?

Please check the shipping location of your items after importing.

This usually isn’t an AliDrop problem, it’s almost always related to Shopify’s inventory setup.

The first thing I’d check is whether the inventory is actually assigned to an active location. Even if stock numbers appear in the product, Shopify will show “Sold out” if that quantity isn’t connected to a location that fulfills online orders. Go into the product, open the variant, and confirm the inventory is assigned to your active location.

Another common cause is a mismatch in variant settings. Sometimes the stock exists, but “Track quantity” isn’t enabled properly for that variant, or the theme defaults to a variant that’s out of stock. Try switching variants on the storefront to see if it updates correctly.

It’s also worth checking your Locations settings in Shopify. Make sure the location holding the stock is active and set to fulfill online orders. If you’re using Shopify Markets, confirm the product is available in the specific market you’re viewing.

If everything looks correct in Shopify but it still shows sold out, it could be a sync delay with AliDrop. In that case, try re-syncing the product, or simply open the product in Shopify and click save again to force a refresh.

Hi @gurinderskarwal,

Since you’re using AliDrop and Shopify is showing products as Sold Out despite inventory being available, this is usually caused by a syncing or inventory-tracking mismatch. Here are the most common reasons and how to fix them:

1. Inventory Not Assigned to Location

Even if stock shows “In stock,” Shopify must have inventory assigned to your active location.

Go to:
Shopify Admin → Products → Select Product → Inventory section
Make sure stock is assigned to your active location (not just AliDrop warehouse).

Also check:
Settings → Locations → Ensure location is active and fulfills online orders.

2. “Track Quantity” Disabled

If “Track quantity” is unchecked, Shopify may mis-handle availability.

Check:
Product → Variant → Inventory
Make sure:

  • Track quantity = ON
  • Quantity > 0

3. Continue Selling When Out of Stock

If unchecked and sync briefly drops to 0, Shopify marks it Sold Out.

Enable:
“Continue selling when out of stock” (temporarily for testing).

Hope, it will be solved.
